So far, fire-resistant cables have been one of the popular product types in the cable industry. Fireproof cables are classified differently according to their structure. Before introducing the classification of fire-resistant cables, let's first understand what the structural composition of cables includes?
Cables are composed of three main parts: conductor, insulation layer, shielding layer, and protective layer.
Conductors: Conductors are used to transmit electrical energy, and the core material of conductors is generally composed of copper or aluminum. The number of wire cores includes single core, double core, three core, four core, and five core. Conductors are the main component of wires and cables,
Insulation layer: It is used to protect the insulation between the wire, core wire, and the outside world. The core wire is conductive along the current. The insulation layer includes insulation and turnkey insulation, with the turnkey insulation outside the phase separation insulation layer. The materials used for the insulation layer include oil immersion, rubber, polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, and cross-linked polyethylene.
Shielding layer: Generally, wires and cables with a voltage of 15KV and above have a conductor shielding layer and an insulation shielding layer.
Protective layer: The protective layer is divided into two parts: the inner protective layer and the outer protective layer, which are used to protect wires and cables from external impurities and moisture intrusion, in order to prevent direct damage to the cables by external forces.
As a very popular fire-resistant cable, what are the classifications of fire-resistant cables? Common cables include BBTRZ, BTTRZ, BTTVZ, NG-A, YTTW, and BTTZ.
BBTRZ: is a new generation of flexible fire-resistant cables, which is a mineral insulated relay without a metal sheath in mineral fire-resistant cables. It not only inherits the various properties of traditional fire-resistant cables, but also has the same construction requirements for flexible fire-resistant relays as ordinary cables.
BTTRZ: It belongs to a type of mineral insulated electricity and is a flexible fire-resistant structure. The production process of BTTRZ wires is similar to that of BTTZ cables, except that the cables have certain flexibility and flame retardant properties, which are convenient for transportation, good flexibility, and safer to use.
BTTVZ: Mineral insulated electric winding, also known as fire-resistant cable, is an additional layer of outer sheath on the basis of BTTZ mineral insulated electric winding.
NG-A: The outer sheath is made of aluminum, which means that the copper strip is longitudinally wrapped and welded with rolled lines, and the aluminum strip is longitudinally wrapped and welded with rolled lines. The inner cable core may be wrapped with several layers of fire-resistant insulation tape.
YTTW: A flexible fire-resistant cable/flexible mineral insulated cable represented by cables, made by twisting multiple copper wires, with good bending characteristics.
BTTZ: It is a type of cable with a seamless copper tube sheath on the outer layer, filled with magnesium oxide crystal powder as insulation material in the middle, and a single stranded copper rod as the conductor.
